This is a classic guitar of rock n' roll! Beautiful lush red finish. On top of that you're getting a wired and stocked 1980s Westone Guitar. So that's over $160 in Floyd Rose value alone. In which case you have 2 Floyd Rose systems you can use on any other projects you have sitting around.įloyd Rose systems run about $80. Someone can play around and try to adjust one of these two new systems to work on the guitar, or maybe someone knows someone who can make a trem block off of the original broken one or maybe you can find. I have already sunk enough time and money into it. You could maybe drill out the original top holes just a bit and get this block to work with the original top.īut, as is, I getting out of this project. This Floyd Rose also looked like the block on this system might fit the old tremolo top, but the problem is the screws on the original tremolo are too small for the new block, and the screws for the new block are too big to fit the original top. The posts would have to be back farther to fit it. The only problem is the pivot points on the tremolo didn't match up with the posts already installed on the guitar. A simple design very close to what was already in place. Black, White and Red models available are shown in the Sept 1985 price list at 269. Listed in the Jan and April 1985 US price lists at 259.50, only in Black.

The second Floyd Rose looked like it would be perfect. Production Matsumoku to Jan 19 to early 1987 Description First appears in the 1985 UK catalogue, available in Black, White and Red. I guess you could break off the whammy bar holder and just roll with the locking trem, but that's not what I wanted to do. When I got the part I noticed that the part the whammy bar screws in was farther forward than the trem block, so when I put it in, it almost fits! But then the housing for the whammy bar gets in the way and prevents it from hitting the other anchor for the pivot point. The first Floyd Rose I got looked like it would be an upgraded modern setup that would fit perfectly and work in this body.
WESTONE GUITAR SPECTRUM UPGRADE
So I did the next best thing and I tried to find a different updated tremolo system that would be an upgrade and work for this guitar. After hours and hours of searching on the internet I have not been able to find the term block to replace. It came with a "JINAH" trem block and while recording the block broke on it. The problem is the trem block broke on this guitar. This guitar was made in 1989 this is one of Westone's classic guitars. You're looking at what would be an awesome and complete 1980's Westone Spectrum I WE1400 Electric Guitar.
